Whether it’s a crack from a drop or a display fault that’s developed over time, we can help.
The most common screen repair. Whether it’s a small crack or a completely shattered display, we’ll replace the panel and have it looking like new.
Screen flickering or flashing on and off. This can be caused by a faulty screen, a loose cable, or a driver issue. We’ll diagnose the cause and fix it.
Black spots, coloured lines, or patches of dead pixels across the display. Usually a sign the panel needs replacing.
Laptop powers on but the screen stays black. Could be a failed backlight, a loose display cable, or a graphics issue. We’ll find the cause.
Patches of light bleed around the edges or discolouration across the display. A replacement panel sorts this out.
Hinges cracked, loose, or pulling away from the body. We can repair or replace hinges to stop further damage to the screen and chassis.
Not all laptop screens are equal. Getting the right replacement matters more than people realise — here's what we look at when sourcing your panel.
For most laptops there's a choice between a genuine manufacturer panel and a compatible third-party equivalent. The compatible is usually 30–40% cheaper and almost always indistinguishable in everyday use, but the genuine is worth it for premium machines or where colour accuracy matters. We'll explain the trade-off for your specific model and let you choose — never just default to the cheaper option without checking.
Every laptop screen has a specific part number, and many models have multiple variants of "the same" screen with different resolutions, brightness levels, or refresh rates. Fitting the wrong one usually works but feels worse than the original. We match your panel exactly to what came out of the laptop.
On 2-in-1 laptops and Surface devices, the touch layer is separate from the display. Sometimes the display has failed but the touch still works, or the other way around. We test both before ordering parts — a common reason DIY screen swaps end up costing more than they should.
Gaming laptops with 144Hz, 165Hz, or higher refresh rates need a matching replacement — fitting a standard 60Hz panel will work but you'll lose the smooth motion you paid for. Parts cost more and can take a day or two longer to source, but we can match what you had.
